THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said will oppose the bill to remove the Governor. If the bill is passed, the higher education sector will be destroyed and will oppose it in the assembly, the opposition leader said while talking to the media.
Satheesan said will support the campaign against drugs. ‘Attacks and sexual harassment are increasing in the state following drugs. A notice was moved today for an adjournment debate on the serious situation to be discussed. The concern on drugs brought in the assembly today has been turned into a big campaign by the government.
The anti-drug campaign has our full support. However, it is limited to the campaign like lighting the lamp and putting up a board saying no drugs are sold in the shop near the school. There is no enforcement of any kind. Not able to find the source of drugs. Drug dealing worth crore is going on. We are not saying that we will not cooperate with the government because of the uproar today. We will seriously support,’ said Satheesan.
The opposition leader had earlier said in the assembly that many from the police department have links with the drug mafia. He also alleged that when the girl reached the police station in Azhiyur, she found drug dealers. Satheesan asked whether the government has the will to fight against drugs.
