THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Minister, Saji Cheriyan, said that the party will decide on his future. And added that the High Court’s verdict on the plea against him is good and that he is happy about it. He was speaking to the media when he made these remarks.

His response comes after reports circulated that he might be included in the Cabinet again. The High Court had quashed a plea seeking to disqualify his position as MLA for insulting the Constitution.

Chief Justice, S Manikumar, and Justice, Shaji P Chaly, had rejected the plea given by Biju P Cheruman, and BSP State President, Vayalar Rajeevan against MLA Saji Cheriyan.

Saji Cheriyan had made the controversial statement last July at a CPI(M) program in Malappally. He had to resign his ministerial position after he criticized the constitution of India. However, the plea against him said that as he is a representative of the people, his remarks must be considered serious and that he must be removed from the position of MLA.
