ALAPPUZHA: A man accused of hacking three women has been arrested. Jayesh (Biju-40) of Keerikad Kannampally district was arrested for hacking sisters Mini, Smitha and their neighbor Neethu near Moolassery temple in Keerikad. The incident related to the case took place last Tuesday night around 8:30.

Last Onam, the sisters had questioned Jayesh bursting firecrackers near the house. The women picking mangoes from Jayesh's house also caused animosity. Biju and three others trespassed in Mini's backyard and cut Mini and her sister Smita with machetes. Neethu, a neighbour who went to stop him, was also injured.

Jayesh was arrested from near Kunthalummudu Beverage in Kayamkulam. The third accused Sajith and the fourth accused Ullas were arrested by the police yesterday. The police informed that the second accused in the case has been identified and will be arrested soon.
