THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the government is trying to make the state a higher education hub. He said that the government has always had the responsibility to use the money from the government exchequer for this purpose. The CM added that the higher education sector will be given priority and financial assistance will be provided for it.

"Universities will have complete freedom in academic activities. Innovative changes in the curriculum will be implemented in such a way that this is possible. The state government will try to develop infrastructure and develop organic linkages between the higher education sector and the industrial sector," the CM said.
