KOZHIKODE: A man has filed a complaint against his own family in the suicide of his wife along with the baby. On the 30th of last month, Prabitha committed suicide by jumping in front of a train with her baby. Her husband Suresh Babu complained to the police that his sisters and their husbands tortured Prabitha continuously over financial issues.

After his mother’s death his siblings and brothers-in-law started mentally harassing Sabitha. The fight was over the pension amount in the mother's bank account. It was alleged that this amount was taken by Prabitha. There was a fight on the same day that Prabitha committed suicide over this issue. His wife committed suicide with baby due to the mental pressure in blaming her regularly. At the same time, Prabitha's elder daughter revealed that the others threatened to burn her mother by pouring petrol.

Suresh Babu has filed a complaint with the Koyilandy police demanding that a case be filed against the accused in connection with Prabitha's death. But it is alleged that despite filing a complaint twelve days ago, there is no progress in the investigation of the case. The police station informed that the officer in charge of investigation is on leave. If further action is not taken, Suresh Babu has decided to go on strike.
