The sequel of ‘Chandramukhi’, the Tamil remake of evergreen Malayalam blockbuster film ‘Manichithrathazhu’ was announced earlier. It was rumoured that Bollywood superstar Kangana Ranaut is playing the lead role in the second part of the film which is coming after 17 years. Now, Lyca Productions, the producers of the film, have officially confirmed that the actor has been roped in for the role.

P Vasu, who directed ‘Chandramukhi’ in 2005, is directing the second part as well. Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Nayanthara and Jyothika played the main characters of the film. Lawrence will be the male lead in the second part. Vadivelu is also among the cast. The shooting of the film, titled ‘Chandramukhi 2’, began in July.
