KOZHIKODE: A Malappuram resident, P Muhammad, 51, has been arrested with Rs.25 lakhs without any documents. He was arrested at Kozhikode railway station when he reached there on Ernad Express by the RPF and RPF Crime Squad.

The officers confiscated Rs.24,99,000 from him. He had a general ticket, which was from Chennai Beach to Kozhikode, with him. SI Shinoj Kumar said that Muhammad had travelled on many trains before reaching Kozhikode.

Muhammad has given the statement that a friend of his had given him the money. He was arrested by the RPF after he was standing suspiciously on the platform. He had kept the money in his pants around the waist area and also in his bag.

The accused is handed over to the income tax officials for further investigations.
