KOZHIKODE: A ring got stuck in the genitals of a 15-year-old boy. A steel ring got stuck in the genitals of the boy, a native of Feroke and a tenth-class student. The timely intervention of the fire force saved the boy’s life.

The boy was admitted at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital Sunday morning. The doctors immediately informed the fire brigade of Vellimadukunnu Station. The fire brigade cut the ring using a special flexible shaft grinder with the help of the doctors.

The boy said that he put the ring on his genitals after watching videos in YouTube on Saturday. He informed his family after he failed in removing it. His family later brought him to the hospital.
