AHMEDABAD: Bhupendra Patel will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat at 2 pm today. Around 25 ministers will also take an oath with him. Union Ministers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the ceremony in Gandhinagar.

Around two hundred invited sanyasis will also witness the function. Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Karnataka Chief Minister Bosavaraj Bomme and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will also attend the function.

Seats are arranged for VVIPs including the Prime Minister on the right side of the main stage. Party sources said that people from all communities will be present in the audience. Bhupendra Patel is becoming the chief minister for a second time in a row.

Bhupendra Patel won by 1.92 lakh votes from Ghatlodia constituency in Ahmedabad. He had earlier resigned his chief ministerial post as part of forming the new government. The BJP won a historic victory in Gujarat by winning 156 seats in the 182-member assembly.
