THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rains are likely to continue in the state due to the cyclonic circulation over North Kerala and nearby areas. Rain is more likely in eastern regions. It is predicted that the rain will continue tomorrow. The yellow alert declared in 11 districts except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta. By tomorrow, the cyclonic circulation is likely to turn into a low pressure and move away from the Indian coast.
Meanwhile, another low-pressure may form over the Bay of Bengal in the next few days. The ban on fishing will continue. Although Cyclone Mandous has formed into a cyclonic circulation, the western winds which are part of it are the reason for the ongoing rains in the state. The cyclonic circulation that is over Tamil Nadu is likely to enter the Arabian Sea via Karnataka and North Kerala in the next few hours. It is concluded that with this the rains will also subside.
