LUCKNOW: In a wedding event that turned ugly, families of bride and groom fought over who to take photos first. The incident took place on December 8 in the Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. The argument started after the bride and groom exchanged garlands. The groom's family said that they would take pictures of the wedding ceremony first. When the bride's relatives opposed, the dispute escalated into a fight.

Both parties were very excited till the wedding procession reached Madhavpur from Rampur Karkhana Dhus. There are reports that some of the groom's family members were drunk. The dispute escalated when they demanded that they want to take the photo first. The groom's uncle intervened in the incident and got seriously injured while trying to calm the scene. The groom's sister was also injured in the clash. Later, both were admitted to the hospital along with their relatives.

After getting the information, the police reached the spot and brought things under control. Distraught by the incident, the groom initially refused to continue the wedding ceremony, but after being forced by the family, he agreed and tied the knot.
