THRISSUR: Three people were rescued after a boat sank off the coast of Chavakkad while fishing. The rescued fishermen are Edakkazhiyoor native Mansoor, Kulachal natives Chandran and Balan. While Mansoor and Chandran swam to the Ponnani shore, Balan was rescued by the coastal police.

Meanwhile, four fishermen were rescued by the coastal police after a boat met with an accident in Kasargod. During fishing, the steering of the boat broke and the boat went out of control.
