THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Taking a jibe at Opposition Leader VD Satheesan for supporting the bill to remove the Governor from the post of Chancellor, BJP state president K Surendran said that it would be better if Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan makes Satheesan the Deputy Chief Minister. He alleged that collusion between the ruling party and the opposition was evident with the passage of the bill to remove the Governor from the post of Chancellor in the Assembly.

"The UDF did not oppose the bill to establish the dominance of the CPM in all 14 universities in Kerala as it forgot its duty as the opposition. The government is removing the Governor from the post of Chancellor for the sake of nepotism and corruption. Congress has changed its stance under pressure from the Muslim League," Surendran said.
