KASARGOD: The excise seized Karnataka liquor stacked in a secret vault made under the puja room of a house at Gadiguda in Kasargod. 276.48 litres of Karnataka liquor were seized from the secret vault kept in 32 cardboard boxes. Accused Sreedhar is absconding. Excise inspector Vinu said that he is a habitual offender.

The liquor was seized from the house owned by Sreedhar. Though the house was given for rent, a portion of it was not rented out and this was to stack the liquor. After making it a puja room, he made a secret vault on the floor and stacked the liquor.

The raid led by preventive officer Pradeep K M of Badiyadka excise range office had preventive officer Rajeevan P, CEOs Mohan Kumar L, Amaljith C M, Janardhana N and woman civil excise officer Shalini V.
