THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A case has been registered against a circle inspector for subjecting a 27-year-old POCSO case accused into unnatural sex. A case was registered against former circle inspector Jayasanil of Thiruvananthapuram Ayiroor station. Jayasanil is presently under suspension in another case.

The youth revealed about the harassment when the court was considering his bail plea. The youth lodged a complaint at the Ayiroor station after he was granted bail. His complaint said that he was abused from 8.30 pm on November 18 to next day morning at 7.30 am, when the circle inspector came home to arrest him. The complaint said that he accepted Rs 50,000 as bribe to settle the case. Following that, the police registered a case against the circle inspector of the same station.

He had demanded a bribe of Rs 150,000 from another accused to settle a POCSO case. Jayasanil was suspended after he charged another case against the accused for not paying the money he demanded.
