THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Thursday said that the Kazhakoottam elevated highway project came into existence due to the BJP's intervention. Attending the inauguration of 15 national highway development projects worth Rs 45636 crore in the state, Muraleedharan said that the BJP had submitted a petition for the Kazhakoottam elevated highway project. Muraleedharan, who thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for making the Kazhakoottam flyover a reality on time, added that the Centre gives great importance to infrastructure development. Praising Nitin Gadkari and the Prime Minister for gifting such a big project to the state, Muraleedharan added that the Centre will bear the entire cost for the construction of the National Highway.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the face of Kerala will change by 2025. "The Centre's aim is to create good infrastructure. The three industrial corridors that are coming up in the state will contribute to the industrial development of the state," he said.
