THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala University Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohanan Kunnummal has issued an order to immediately cancel the process in which 123 students, including those who failed the examination, were awarded pass marks through illegal moderation and mark correction.
After examining the files, the VC summoned the officials of the examination department and issued the order. Out of 123 students, 100 had received mark lists and 17 received degree certificates. The employees explained that the fake marks were not cancelled because they did not receive clear instructions from the authorities. The VC has also directed officials to withdraw the fake mark list from the student profiles and inform the students in writing. The VC gave strict instructions not to allow such things in future. The VC directed the University Standing Consul to file a review petition against the court order to issue a degree certificate to a student who had passed with the rectification of grace marks.
