Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt says that the wicketkeeper-batter of Team India Rishabh Pant is overweight. Butt made these remarks while talking about the performance of Risabh Pant in the first innings of the India-Bangladesh Test match in Chattogram. Butt added that Pant tried innovative shots but could have done better if he had been fit. He shared the comment in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

“Rishabh Pant was playing the way he likes to, but he went for something innovative and got out. It was a weird dismissal as the ball hit the bat, pad before rattling the stumps. I always speak on Rishabh Pant's fitness because the kind of shots he plays and tries to innovate, it would be easier for him execute those shots if he was fit. I think he is overweight. Definitely, he is overweight and because of that, he is not very agile. He is under the level where he should be, in terms of fitness," said Butt.

Pant played a crucial role in India scoring 404 runs against Bangladesh. When he reached the crease, India had scored only 48 runs. Three players were dismissed. In the match against Bangladesh, Pant scored 45 runs off 46 balls in the first innings.
