VIJAYAWADA: A woman filed complaint that her husband injected her with HIV-infected blood in order to get divorce. The complainant is from Vijayawada’s Tadepalle in Andhra Pradesh. Based on the complaint, the husband was taken into police custody for questioning.

The woman who is pregnant alleges that her husband injected blood with the help of a traditional healer to get a divorce on the grounds that she was infected with HIV. The woman was found to be HIV positive during a recent test at the hospital. Following this, the woman filed a complaint alleging that her husband had injected blood earlier.

She also alleges that her husband is having an affair with a 21-year-old woman from Visakhapatnam. According to the complaint, the husband constantly pressured her for divorce and injected her with HIV-infected blood. The couple have a baby girl. The woman said that he constantly abused her by demanding more dowry and for not giving birth to a boy.
