ERNAKULAM: A man and his daughter drowned while fishing in the river. The incident happened last night around 10 pm in Paravur, Ernakulam. The dead are Babu, a fisherman and his daughter Nimya of Ezhikkara.

Both went to Veeranpuzha in Paravur for fishing in a small boat. Meanwhile, both fell into the river. The locals who came rushing hearing Nimya's cries took both to the hospital, but their lives could not be saved. Both were rushed to the hospital before the police and the firemen arrived.

Nimya was a plus one student of Ernakulam Kadamakudy Govt Vocational Higher Secondary School.
