THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has given an explanation in the buffer zone issue amid the controversies. He responded that there was good intention behind the satellite survey. The Chief Minister informed that the survey does not include everything, and clarified that the government's stance is that the survey needs more clarity and that the satellite survey is not the final document.
“A special expert committee was appointed to understand the specialities of each region. People should be able to lead normal life in residential areas and things that had been vacated earlier would be found completely.”, he said. “Justice Thottathil was appointed as the head of the expert committee. The Chief Minister said that the government is ready to think about what to do regarding the court verdict.”, he added.
The Chief Minister responded that some things are being done as part of some special moves in the buffer zone controversy. “There is a clear intention behind this.”, he said. “The Chief Minister said that the government is not acting as per those intentions but according to the interests of the people. People should be able to lead a normal life in the residential area. The central government should do what they can in the court order. There is an opportunity to register complaints and ward level activities are ongoing for this.”, stated Chief Minister.
