KOZHIKODE: Thamarassery Bishop Remigiose Inchananiyil has strongly criticized the government on the buffer zone issue. Bishop clarified that the Church will not accept defeat before any law.
"There is a lot of confusion about the government's action. There is a mystery surrounding the satellite survey. We will not allow buffer zone as long as we are alive. We never accepted defeat before either marsh fever or pythons. Neither will we accept defeat before the government. Those who have shed their sweat won't hesitate to shed their blood," Bishop Remigiose Inchananiyil said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has called a high-level meeting on the buffer zone issue. Forest minister AK Saseendran has said that the meeting will discuss all issues. “Even small problems related to forests are being escalated. The poor farmers of being misled.”, Saseendran said.
