THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor has not been invited to the Christmas feast organized by the Chief Minister tomorrow. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan has been excluded from the feast to be held at Mascot Hotel tomorrow afternoon. This was amid the clash with the government and Governor continues over university appointments.

Earlier, the Chief Minister and ministers were invited to the Christmas feast organized by the Governor, but the Chief Minister and others turned down the invite.

Governors are not usually invited to the CM’s feast. The Governor did not attend the Iftar feast held during the last Ramzan. Normally, the Governor is not invited to avoid causing difficulties to other guests due to security precautions and protocol measures. The Chief Minister's office has given an explanation that the Governor was not invited due to this. Meanwhile, Justice P. Sadasivam was invited to the Chief Minister's feasts when he was the Governor.
