queue

PATHANAMTHITTA: For the first time in Sabarimala, the special queue system is implemented and it is a success. The waiting time for devotees standing from Sharamkuthi was just about two hours. Even though one lakh devotees reached Sabarimala, they were able to get darshan without much rush.

In the previous days, the devotees coming to Sharamkuthi had to wait for six hours. Because of this the walk up to Sabarimala temple took ten hours. Yesterday at Pamba there was no block or rush to walk up the hill.

It was the High Court which ordered a special queue for children and the elderly.

Those who want special queue were transferred to queue number nine at the Nadapandal and let to the Thirumuttam under the Pathinettam Padi.

There were also chairs arranged for children, the elderly, and the differently abled to rest. Water and food are also provided to them.

Malayalee devotees are cooperating in sending one person with the children to the special queue. But groups of devotees from other states are not cooperating with it.

The Devaswom Board and the police said that the special queue has helped in reducing the rush at Sabarimala.
