The term ‘dating’ is very familiar with people in Kerala. In recent times, we also have begun dating just like in western countries. Dating is a process to know and understand your partner better before marriage. For this the couple can go out and spend time together.

Now, in China a new dating culture is growing in popularity. This is to kiss the stranger on the first meeting. It is called ‘Suyi Yu’. There is nothing more than the first kiss, however. After that, they must separate as strangers.

However, not everybody in China is giving support to this kissing culture. A huge section of the people is against this. They say that it will lead to spread of diseases by bacteria and viruses by kissing total strangers. They fear that this will lead to more difficulties to the Chinese people who are yet to overcome Covid.
