THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A student in Poovar was brutally thrashed by a KSRTC employee. A plus one student identified as Shanu of Arumanoor School was beaten up. He was attacked for talking to girls in the depot. The complaint is against KSRTC controlling inspector Sunil.

The incident happened Wednesday morning at the KSRTC depot. The student is a native of Pozhiyoor. The student told police that he came to buy cake for Christmas celebrations.

Some questioned the act after seeing him beaten. Sunil’s explanation is that he intervened as many complaints were obtained over the mingling of boys and girls. Meantime, the classmates who were with him said that he was beaten up for no reason. The Poovar police said that a case will be registered after taking the detailed statements of the student and eyewitnesses.
