THRISSUR: One has been killed after a bus of an engineering college rammed into a hotel. The dead has been identified as Sarala, wife of Sivaraman of Mangad and a hotel employee. Amal, Jeslin, Divya, Jyuna, Krishna and Amal, passengers of the bus were injured.

The bus from Wadakkanchery rammed into the Pushpa Hotel adjacent to the home centre near Thrissur Kundannur Chungam Centre. The front portion of the hotel has been completely destroyed in the accident.

Sivaraman and Sarala were working in the hotel at that time. Though Sarala was first taken to the Wadakkanchery district hospital and later to medical college, her life could not be saved. The locals smashed the back window panes of the bus and took the students out of the bus.
