rain

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to receive isolated normal rain for the next five days as the low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal will intensify in the coming hours.

There is a strong low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. It is anticipated to move northwesterly during the next 48 hours and strengthen into an extremely low-pressure area close to Sri Lanka's coast. The IMD further stated that the low-pressure region is most likely to travel towards the Comorin shore via Sri Lanka.
