ATTINGAL: It has been alleged that an unidentified group has dumped toilet waste near a temple in Attingal. The toilet waste was dumped near the Marazhcha Vishnu temple in Kollampuzha. After learning about the incident, Ward Councilor and Education Standing Committee Chairperson Girija visited the place with the health department officials and applied disinfectants, including bleaching powder.

According to locals, this was the fourth time that toilet waste was dumped in this area in the last two months. They alleged that a group carrying deadly weapons was dumping the waste in the area. "Some youths of the area had earlier planned to catch hold of these anti-socials. But this gang is traveling in a tanker lorry with deadly weapons. This lorry has no number plates," a local man said.

Locals led by the ward development committee have lodged a complaint with the police. Locals also complain that the temple and its surroundings are becoming polluted.
