THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram district court stayed the lower court order in the case that V S Achuthanandan’s remarks against the then chief minister Oommen Chandy during the Lok Sabha elections, were defamatory. The lower court had ordered to pay a compensation of Rs 10.10 lakh.
VS had in an interview on July 6, 2013 said that Chandy was behind the solar company and that he had swindled crores by putting Saritha Nair in front. The case is against this. The court ordered to pay a compensation of Rs 10.10 lakh as VS was not able to prove what he said in the interview.
