THRISSUR: A middle-aged man succumbed to injuries he sustained after falling from a private bus. He has been identified as Joy (59) of Ammadam Pootharakkal. The accident happened Wednesday morning at 9.15 am.

The door of the bus was not closed. The locals rushed Joy, who fell on the road and hit his head, to the hospital. He died early Friday morning. He will be laid to rest this evening.

Though the family expressed willingness to donate the organs, the hospital authorities said it is not possible due to the health issues. The CCTV visuals of Joy falling from the bus had surfaced.
