THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has changed IGs and City Police Commissioners and has made a comprehensive reshuffling of high-ranking police officers in the state. IGs Thummala Vikram, Dhinendra Kashyap, Gopeshkumar Aggarwal, H Venketesh, and Ashok Yadav have been promoted to ADGPs. This was notified in an order given yesterday. The Vigilance IGs of south and north zones and commissioners of Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode have also been changed.

Thummala Vikram has been appointed to the newly created post Cyber Operation ADGP to control cybercrimes. Gopeshkumar Aggarwal is appointed as Police Academy Director. H Venketesh is the ADGP of Armed Police Battalion. Dhinendra Kashyap and Ashok Yadav are continuing on deputation.

DIGs Neeraj Kumar Gupta is appointed as IG of North Zone. Kozhikode Commissioner, A Akbar is now Traffic IG. He also has extra responsibility as MD of Police Housing Construction Limited.

Thiruvananthapuram City Commissioner, G Sparjan Kumar is now appointed as South Zone Range IG. P Prakash is now the Intelligence IG. Thiruvananthapuram Range IG Harshita Attaluri is now Vigilance IG.

IG Sethuraman is now Kochi Commissioner. The Kozhikode Commissioner is now Rajpal Meena who was the Armed Police Battalion DIG. SPs Thomson Jose, Dr. A Sreenivas, and Manjunath has been made DIGs. CH Nagaraju, who is Kochi City Commissioner is now appointed in Thiruvananthapuram.

Senior SPs Anuj Palival is the Commander of Rapid Response Battalion and Nitin Raj is Special Operations SP.

R Elanko is appointed as the Special Branch Technical SP.
