DHAKA: India won the second Test against Bangladesh by three wickets in a thrilling match that could gone either way to seal the series 2-0. The partnersip between Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin of 71 runs for the eighth wicket proved crucial as it gave India the victory. India had won the first Test by 188 runs.

Chasing a target of 145, India lost wickets early on, and was in a spot of bother at 74/7 when Ashwin walked into the crease. Ashwan-Iyer joined hands for the rescue mission and took India over the line. On the fourth day, India resumed their second innings with Axar Patel at 26 runs and Jaydev Unadkat with three runs at the crease. Unadkat, who scored 13 runs off 16 balls, was dismissed in the second over today. Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel were soon back in the pavilion with the score at 74.

Ashwin remained unbeaten on 42 off 62 balls and Iyer scored 29 off 46 balls. Batting earlier, Bangladesh were bowled out for 231 runs in the second innings.
