KASARAGOD: P Jayarajan has indirectly indicated that he will not back down from the allegations levelled against EP Jayarajan. P Jayarajan clarified his position in a public meeting held at Kanhangad in Kasaragod. He said that the leaders should follow the norms of the country and the party and any deviation from that will pointed out for correction. He also warned that they will not have a place in the party if they do not correct it. P Jayarajan also explained about the discussions within the party in the general meeting. "If such discussions take place, the party will not collapse, instead it will become a pure movement, like pure gold. The discussions are only to strengthen the party", he said.
"CPM is not like Congress, BJP or Muslim League, there is a pledge signed by every member who joins the party. Personal interest should be subordinated to the interests of the party and society. It will be implemented correctly. There is a lot of decay in the society and when it affects a CPM worker, naturally the party will discuss it. Those who deviate will be asked to correct it and if they do not correct it, they will not have a place in the party.", Jayarajan added.
It is very significant that his explanation today comes in the context of P. Jayarajan raising allegations of illegal acquisition of assets against EP Jayarajan, a senior leader of Kannur and LDF convener, in the CPM state committee. Today he tried to explain things without dismissing the reports in the media.
