THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police will extend the investigation in the Titanium job fraud case to MLA hostel. This is based on the statement that Shyamlal, one of the main accused in the Titanium job fraud case, has close relations with some MLAs.
The new move of the police is as per the statement given by Manoj, the receptionist of the MLA hostel. The police took Manoj's statement when they first received a complaint about the scam. Now Manoj is absconding.
The police received information that Shyamlal was a regular visitor in the MLA hostel and had close relations with some of the MLAs. Shyamlal brought the candidates to Titanium for interview in a car bought by Manoj.
Another accused in the case, Anil Kumar, is a coffeehouse employee of MLA Hostel and a CITU leader. So far, only the first accused Divya Jyoti has been arrested in the case. Other accused Sasikumaran Thambi, Shyamlal, Premkumar, Manoj and Divya's husband Rajesh are absconding.
