BEIJING: China is in a severe crisis as the number of Covid patients is out of control. As there is no space in the ICU in hospitals in the Hebei region, the situation is that critically ill patients are made to lie on the ground in the hospital veranda. The disease is mostly diagnosed on the elderly. This led to an increase in the death rate. Even oxygen is not available to critically ill patients. In Zhejiang, one of China's largest industrial provinces, ten lakh people are diagnosed with the disease every day.

However, the government has not released any clear figures about the spread of Covid or the number of deaths. According to the report, which is not included in the government statistics, a huge increase in Covid deaths has been recorded. With the worsening of the situation in China, other countries have also taken precautionary measures. The spread is severe in Japan, America and the Republic of Korea.

Cremation workers in the Hebei region said that before December, about four to five bodies were cremated a day, but now it has reached 22. The rising death toll is also evident from the number of obituaries published by a university to commemorate employees who recently died due to Covid-19.
