KANNUR: Internal skirmishes is brewing in the CPM. The spat between the Jayarajans can explode at any moment. There is no doubt that P Jayarajan, who levelled allegations against E P Jayarajan in the resort connection in Wayanad, will face a tough challenge from the party. The central and state leaders have received widespread complaints to investigate P Jayarajan's quotation and goonda connections.

The main demand is that P Jayarajan has connection with Kannur-based gold smuggling quotation group and the party should investigate this. Along with this, it is reported that the CPM has received complaint that Jayarajan embezzled election funds while contesting the Vadakara Lok Sabha seat. The complaint is that the entire amount collected for the election fund was not paid to the party. Party workers from different parts of the state have lodged a complaint against Jayarajan.

P Jayarajan raised financial allegations against E P Jayarajan in the state committee meeting where the party members' rectification document was discussed to guide them in the right direction by openly saying that succession of administration makes the workers corrupt.

Jayarajan had in the committee meet said that E P Jayarajan built a big resort and Ayurvedic establishment in Kannur and when he made this allegation earlier, changes were made in the board of directors of the company. The allegation was while participating in the discussion of rectification document 'contemporary political events and urgent duty in the organization'. EP, who has taken leave from the party for a long time, was not present at the meeting.

E P Jayarajan did not confirm the news but refused to deny the allegations. Jayarajan told the state committee that there are many doubts about the institution and he is raising it authentically and with good conscience. P Jayarajan had earlier levelled allegations in Kannur district secretariat earlier.

E P Jayarajan is CPM central committee member and LDF convener. Although P Jayarajan is a member of the state committee, the party leadership is convinced that his words have more meaning as he was earlier the district secretary of Kannur. That is why party state secretary M V Govindan directed to give it in writing. The allegation was in the presence of the chief minister.
