KUTCH: Drugs and arms worth Rs 300 crore was seized from a Pakistani fishing boat along the Gujarat coast in a joint operation by the Coast Guard and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). Ten people who were on the boat have been taken into custody by the Coast Guard.

40 kg of drugs worth Rs 300 crore were seized. According to Coast Guard sources, the Pakistani fishing boat ‘Al Soheli’ has been brought to Okha for further investigation. On December 25 and 26, the Coast Guard conducted an inspection in the area following specific intelligence inputs. ‘Arinjay’, the ship of the Coast Guard intercepted the boat near the Pakistan border.

This is the third operation by the ATS and Coast Guard along the Pakistan border in the last three months and the seventh this year. Mohammad Kadar, a drug baron from Pakistan, is behind this smuggling. Last September, the Coast Guard seized 40 kg of drugs worth Rs 200 crore.
