THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leaders have said that the accusations by CPM leaders P Jayarajan and EP Jayarajan are very serious. Youth Congress State President Shafi Parambil said that the Chief Minister has resumed his usual silence following the allegations against the CPM leaders, and demanded an inquiry as to why the sons of many leaders have become so rich during his tenure.
The Congress leader demanded that a party commission cannot be appointed and a judicial inquiry should be conducted in the corruption allegations against the CPM leaders. Opposition leaders including K Muraleedharan have come forward with a similar demand.
At the same time, the Chief Minister avoided giving a clear answer to the media regarding the allegations against EP Jayarajan. When asked the chief minister whether the issue would be discussed, in return asked ‘how is the cold’. He added that he would meet the media if he has anything to say. The chief minister arrived in Delhi to attend the two-day politburo meeting. It is hinted that E P Jayarajan issue will be discussed at the politburo meeting to be held at the AKG Bhavan at 11 am tomorrow.
