NEW DELHI: The two-day CPM Politburo meeting will begin today in Delhi. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has arrived in Delhi yesterday to attend the PB meeting. Party state secretary and PB member MV Govindan will arrive today morning.

The party sources indicates that the allegations raised by P Jayarajan against LDF convener EP Jayarajan won’t be discussed as a separate issue. However, while discussing party matters in Kerala, party state secretary MV Govindan may mention the issue.

When asked the chief minister whether the issue would be discussed in PB, in return asked ‘how is the cold’. He added that he would meet the media if he has anything to say.

The central leadership said the CPM state unit can decide whether an investigation panel is needed on the financial allegations levelled against LDF convener E P Jayarajan. Although he is a member of the Central Committee, as Jayarajan's work is concentrated in the state secretariat, so the party does not need PB's permission to discuss this issue in Kerala. After the discussion, only if a serious organizational decision is required, it should be discussed at the Central Committee level. In that situation, the central committee meeting to be held in Kolkata next month will discuss the issue and take a decision.

PB will discuss next year's assembly elections including Tripura and 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
