KANNUR: A Youth Congress leader has been arrested for raping a eleven-year-old boy. The accused, Suneesh Thayathuvalayil is the Payyanur Mandalam Secretary of Youth Congress. According to the complaint against the accused, the boy was subjected to unnatural sexual abuse.

A POCSO case has been registered against the accused. When the boy showed changes in his behavior, his parents questioned him. This is how the sexual abuse came to light. Following the boy’s revelation, his parents filed a complaint at the Payyanur police station.

The accused was taken into custody last night and a case was registered in the morning. The accused has been remanded after being presented at court.

Meanwhile, the Kannur District President of Youth Congress informed that Suneesh is removed from the primary membership of the party.
