THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary MV Govindan said that the resort controversy surrounding LDF convener EP Jayarajan is fabricated by the media. This is the first time that MV Govindan has responded to the resort controversy. Meanwhile, CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that all issues including that of Kerala will be discussed in PB.

Opposition leader VD Satheesan had asked why MV Govindan was not intervening in the controversy. He had severely criticized that this was not an internal matter of the party and asked why the party was not taking action. This was followed by MV Govindan's response on the issue.

Satheesan said that it is a serious corruption and demanded an investigation. A UDF meeting will be convened in Ernakulam on December 30. The matter will be discussed in detail at the meeting. Kept mum thinking that Christmas day is not the time to talk about such a bad thing. Satheesan asked why the CPM hid the issue since 2019.

Meantime, LDF convenor E P Jayarajan who attended the KSTA programme in Kannur gave a smile to the repeated questions of the media on the controversial issue. He enumerated the achievements of the party and the administration in his speech.
