NEW DELHI: CPM state secretary MV Govindan has responded that the allegations against EP Jayarajan were not discussed in the Politburo. He asked whether his job is to deny what the media is saying. Meanwhile, it is reported that CPM PB will discuss the issue tomorrow. The details may be sought from the state secretary based on this discussion. The central leadership may not intervene in the allegation. The state leadership can take a decision including the investigation against EP Jayarajan.

MV Govindan earlier said that the resort controversy surrounding LDF convener EP Jayarajan is fabricated by the media. This is the first time that MV Govindan has responded to the resort controversy. Meanwhile, CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that all issues including that of Kerala will be discussed in PB.

Meantime, LDF convenor E P Jayarajan who attended the KSTA programme in Kannur gave a smile to the repeated questions of the media on the controversial issue. He enumerated the achievements of the party and the administration in his speech.
