THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The forest department has issued a new buffer zone map after including the survey numbers. People can file a complaint within the next seven months if they find any ambiguity or errors in the map. The expert committee had pointed out that there were inaccuracies in the draft map released yesterday. Based on this, a map bearing survey numbers has been published.


Meanwhile, the term of the expert committee has been extended till February 28. An expert committee was formed to study the impact of the buffer zone and submit a report. The objective of the expert committee is to point out the flaws in the satellite survey prepared by the forest department as per the instructions of the Supreme Court.
