KOCHI: The UDF state committee meeting will convene in Kochi today after K Sudhakaran's response on the allegation that P K Kunhalikutty intervened to save P Jayarajan in the Ariyil Shukoor murder case. However, KPCC chief is not attending today’s meet. He informed opposition leader about this. Sudhakaran had the other day stated that the allegation that Kunhalikutty intervened to save P Jayarajan as serious. After this, the league leaders strongly protested against Sudhakaran.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Chennithala is also not attending the meeting today. He informed that he is not attending as he is in Delhi to invite his son's marriage. However, UDF convener M M Hasan said the UDF meeting will discuss the Shukoor murder controversy today. Kunhalikutty had earlier stated that the controversy ended after Sudhakaran gave an explanation.

The meet will discuss the resort controversy involving E P Jayarajan and the protest programmes to be organized against the state government. Indications are that the meeting will hold discussions to resolve the differences between the Congress and the League on Governor’s issue, Shukoor murder and A K Antony's statement. Efforts are being made to resolve the differences of opinion in the UDF on the issues.
