BHOPAL: The police has registered a case against a youth for attacking a ten-year-old boy in Madhya Pradesh. The Muslim boy was attacked because he did not say ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The police filed an FIR against Ajay Bhil, 22, on the complaint by the victim’s parents.

The incident occurred yesterday at Khandwa District in Madhya Pradesh. While the boy was going to the tuition class, he was stopped by Ajay and asked to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’. When the boy kept silent, he was slapped on his cheeks. The boy got scared and said ‘Jai Shri Ram’, after which he was sent off by Ajay. The boy returned home and informed his parents about the incident.

The boy’s father went immediately to the police station and filed a complaint against Ajay Bhil. The police also registered a FIR against him.

In 2021, two persons were arrested for attacking a Muslim youth and forcing him to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Madhya Pradesh.
