BHUBANESWAR: The body of a Russian national was recovered from Odisha's Paradip port. The deceased has been identified as Sergey Milyakov. He is the third Russian to die in the state in two weeks.

The 51-year-old is the chief engineer on the MV Aldanah ship, which was anchored in Odisha while en route from Mumbai to Chittagong, Bangladesh. He was found dead inside the ship around 4:30 in the morning. The cause of death is unclear. Paradip Port Chairman PL Haranand informed that an investigation has been launched into the death.

Earlier, two Russian citizens were found dead in Odisha. Russian billionaire and lawmaker Pavel Antonov (66), a staunch critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his companion, Vladimir Bidenov, were found dead in a hotel in Odisha in recent days under mysterious circumstances. Bidenov was found dead in his room on December 22 and Antov was found dead after falling from the third floor of the hotel on December 24. A CID is investigating their deaths.
