THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Saji Cheriyan MLA said that he has only natural happiness in re-entering the LDF cabinet. Saji Cheriyan, who said he had nothing to say in response to the Governor's disagreement, added that the political establishment would respond appropriately. He also said that he had fulfilled the responsibility assigned to him by the party even when he stayed away from the cabinet.

Speaking to the media, Saji Cheriyan also said that he did not say anything that was unconstitutional or against the law.

"A division bench comprising the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court took a decision on the complaint. It is up to the government to decide whether a person who is an MLA should become a minister. Both the complaints in my name were resolved. The police conducted the investigation for six months and found that I did not say anything against the constitution. I resigned from the post of minister to protect the interest of the government and the party," Saji Cheriyan said.

The Governor, who had initially expressed his dissent towards the move to re-induct Saji Cheriyan to the cabinet, later went on to accept the Chief Minister's recommendation.
