BENGALURU: A young singer shared her bad experience of being asked by officials to remove her shirt during the security check at the airport. A student and musician Krishani Gadvi shared her ordeal through Twitter.

She said that during security check, the officials asked her to remove her shirt at the Bengaluru airport. Standing in front of others wearing just a camisole was truly humiliating. A woman would never want to be in such a situation,’ she tweeted. Why would you need a woman to strip, she wrote.

‘We deeply regret the hassle caused and this should not have happened. We have highlighted this to our operations team and also escalated it to the security team managed by CISF (Central Industrial Security force) a government sovereign," it said in a now-deleted Twitter reply.

The security agencies also said that they will check the CCTV visuals of the incident. The security agencies also asked why the woman did not file a complaint with the Central Industrial Security Force or the police at the airport.
