KOLLAM: The police are suspecting that the incident where a woman was found dead in an abandoned railway building in Kollam was a murder. Accused Nasu, who is in custody, had said that the woman died after she developed a seizure died during sex. But the police are yet to believe this statement.

The accused had admitted during the interrogation that he had inflicted injuries on the woman's body to make it appear that she died after he left the building. He also said that he did so to make it appear that someone else had killed her. The preliminary conclusion of the doctor is that the woman died after food got stuck in her lungs. There were wounds on both sides of the head and on the breast. Only after the outcomes of more scientific examinations will it be known whether these injuries were the cause of the death.

The woman, who went missing on December 29. was found dead in the abandoned railway quarters on Wednesday morning. On December 31, Kottiyam police had found the woman's mobile phone from accused Nasu during a vehicle inspection. He was taken into custody after the woman's body was discovered yesterday.
